For the year 2023, there were a total of 17 VAWNetwork Conferences. Out of the 17, there are 2 networks that are newly-formed–VAWNet 13 and 14. The former is composed of National Government Agencies (NGAs); Highly-Urbanized Cities (HUCs – Cebu City, Mandaue and Lapu Lapu City); CSOs; and Religious and Academe Sector while the latter is a congregation of Philippine National Police (PNP) – Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) Officer among the cities and provinces of Cebu.
The following are the VAWNet Conferences along with the host barangay/city:

Vawnet 4 – Hosted by Municipality of Madridejos on June 15
Vawnet 12 – Hosted by Municipality of Carmen on July 19
Vawnet 5 – Hosted by Municipality of Daanbantayan on July 28
Vawnet 6 – Hosted by Municipality of Alcoy on August 9
Vawnet 13 – Hosted by Lapu Lapu City on August 23
Vawnet 2 – Hosted by Brgy. Pit os on August 24
Vawnet 14 – Hosted by LAW Center Inc on September 1
Vawnet 4 – Hosted by Municipality of Sta. Fe in Bantayan Island on September 28
Vawnet 12 – Hosted by Municipality of Catmon on November 15
Vawnet 5 – Hosted by Municipality of Tabuelan on November 17
Vawnet 6 – Hosted by Municipality of Samboan on December 6
The conference was attended by key personnel like mayors of different municipalities, regional directors of government offices, barangay captains and councilors, Gender and Development (GAD) focal person, VAW Desk Officers from different barangays, and heads of different offices like City/Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.
The VAWNet Conference is a stepping stone towards translating the efforts that LAW Inc has initiated to the participating barangays and municipalities. In here, they can air out their concerns in relation to gender-based issues. This is also the perfect venue to showcase their plans and budget allocations for GAD.
Apart from the conference, several barangay local chief executives have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Understanding (MoCU) to establish mutual cooperation in support of Sustainable Development Goa; (SDG) No. 5 which aims to to achieve gender equality and empower women and girls.
